Section 11 Application documents
(1) You can find our current job vacancies at the BELFOR Careers website www.belfor-jobs.com. From there, you can apply to us directly online (using a form).
(2) This careers site is also managed for other companies that belong to the BELFOR Group under the responsibility of BELFOR Europe GmbH, Keniastrasse 24, 47269 Duisburg, info@belfor.com (see our legal notice). You can reach our Data Protection Officer, Dr. Volker Wodianka, LL.M., at privacy@belfor.com or via our postal address, for the attention of “The Data Protection Officer.”
BELFOR Europe GmbH provides the data from the competent BELFOR company, which uses this data independently and exclusively for the purpose of processing your application for the purposes of staff recruitment, staff selection, employment and quality assurance, as the controller as per Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will find a list of the countries in which BELFOR is represented here. The relevant privacy policy
in your language is also filed there.
(3) We will process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of your application for employment, if this is required for the decision whether to recruit you for employment with us. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) b) of the GDPR and Section 26 (1) in conjunction with (8) 2 BDSG (job advertising and conducting pre-contractual actions), and Art. 6 (1) f) of the GDPR for speculative applications. Your personal data will be treated confidentially in this process. In order to carry out the application process it may be necessary that employees of the HR department, the relevant line department and, if applicable, competent committees, such as the Works Council or disability officers, gain access to your personal data. If after the completion of the application procedure the data is required for any legal action, data processing may be carried out on the basis of the pre-conditions of Art. 6 of the GDPR, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) of the GDPR. Our interests will then be in the assertion of or defence against claims.
(4) We can process the following data during the application procedure:
• Master data (title, first name, surname, any name at birth)
• Contact details (address, telephone or mobile phone number, private email address)
• Application data (e.g. profile photo and other documents, such as CV, covering letter, overall application, references).
(5) After the application procedure has been completed, your data will generally be erased after six months at the latest. If you have given your consent to be considered for other positions, or have sent a speculative application without any time limitation, we will store your personal data for a maximum period of two years, commencing with the end of the year in which you gave your consent to BELFOR. Different periods may apply on the basis of any country-specific storage periods that have been set. If your applications is successful, we will include your application documents in your HR file.
(6) The provision of this data is not stipulated by law or contract. You are not obliged to provide this data. However, if you do not provide this data, it will not
be possible to conduct an application procedure and, if applicable, recruitment.
(7) We use a specialised software provider for the application process. This acts as a
service provider for us, and may also become aware of your personal data in connection with maintaining and updating the systems. We have concluded a
processing agreement with this provider that ensures data processing will be carried out in a permissible manner.
(7a) The HR department will examine your application data after receiving your application.
Additional read access will be granted to heads of department as required. Then, the further course of the procedure will be coordinated. Generally, only those people in the company who need access to ensure an orderly course of our application procedure will gain access to your data.
(8) If you give your explicit consent as per Art. 6 (1) a) of the GDPR, we will also check your application for further employment possibilities within our company and, if necessary, will also forward your profile to other line departments in our company. You can withdraw your consent to this at any time.
